Formerly Friends Services Alliance & MHS Alliance
A national professional association of values-aligned organizations that serve seniors. We support both staff and governing boards of CCRCs/life plan communities, home care groups, foundations and others by providing a spectrum of professional services specifically designed for our industry.
They work primarily with nonprofit organizations, and we value fiscal stewardship, collaboration, and transparency.
The name is a respelling of accord, meaning “to be in alignment.” It reflects the harmony, shared purpose and collective strength that define our community. The A and Q in AQORD also honor our roots — A for our Anabaptist heritage and Q for our Quaker heritage — two faith traditions that share a deep commitment to peace, service, and community.
AQORD speaks to how we come together — members, partners, and peers — to learn from one another, lift each other up and advance our missions in concert. It’s a name that honors your work and the impact you make every day, while symbolizing the deeper unity and collaboration that will continue to guide us all forward.
Fellowship of Brethren Homes
As a ministry to those who are aging and their families, the 22 retirement communities related to the Church of the Brethren are committed to providing high quality, loving care for older adults. This group, known as the Fellowship of Brethren Homes, works together on common challenges such as uncompensated care, long-term care needs, and nurturing relationships with congregations and districts.
